Have you ever dreamed of spending your vacation surrounded by like-minded people with the same interests as you? We all have our passions that drive us and excite us, and when considering the best vacation to truly refresh yourself, everyone should consider their own hobbies and interests.

What if we told you there was a magical floating island filled entirely with people who are just as excited as you are about your favorite things? You could all join together and celebrate and already have plenty to talk about that actually interests you. Aside from sundrenched islands, we’re here to introduce you to 5 unique cruises that cater to some of the coolest interests.

These unique cruises bring like-minded people together to celebrate their shared enthusiasm while traveling from port to port and relaxing in style. Whether you are a trekkie, a lover of wrestling, disco, or a Disney-style halloween bash, there is a cruise for you and others just like you.

1. Boldly go… to Puerto Vallarta

Hop on in Los Angeles on February 24th, 2023 and set sail for the stars. For over a week you will be immersed in the Star Trek world as well as sailing in all-inclusive luxury. It is like a Con where nobody has to go home any time soon. Nearly two dozen of your favorite cast members from the show will be attending while you cruise with all the usual amenities we love from L.A. to Cabo San Lucas, to Mazatlan, to Puerto Vallarta and back.

There will be theme nights, parties, events, script readings, interactive events to join in on, and all sorts of memorable ways to spend time and make memories with your fellow trekkies on this unique cruise.

2. A spooky Halloween delight with the splendors of Disney touches

Thanks to the Disney Cruise Lines going all out for the holidays, there are a number of ships and itineraries to choose from to have an amazing Halloween adventure with Mickey and Minnie and all your favorite characters. Join Disney for their “Halloween on the High Seas” themed cruises for a variety of sunny destinations from your choice of San Diego, Miami, or Port Canaveral. All your favorite characters will be dressed up in their best costumes and there will be special halloween food and drink items available. Go trick or treating right on the ship, attend awesome halloween parties, and dress up in your spookiest Disney attire while mingling with other fellow Disney fanatics while on one of our absolute favorite cruise lines.

3. Cruise back in time… to the 80’s!

Grab your best stone-washed jean jacket and don’t be late! Your floating time traveling ship takes off March 3 to 10, 2023. The 80’s Cruise on Royal Caribbean’s Navigator of the Seas is not just a celebration of all things 80s. It is a floating music festival featuring over 50 concerts and music events during the week the ship spends traveling from Los Angeles to Ensenada, Cabo San Lucas, and Puerto Vallarta on this unique cruise.

Rock out to the likes of Brett Michaels, Devo, Kim Wilde, Living Colour, Tone Loc, The Cutting Crew, and many more while vacationing in all-inclusive bliss. If you have been craving a return to simpler times, then this might just be the perfect cruise to reset a bit and take some time off from the 2020’s. We could all probably use a bit of that these days.

4. Ironmen (and women) on board this unique cruise

For all of the triathletes out there, one of our favorite smaller scale cruise lines, UnCruise, is offering a very interesting sailing. Immediately following the IRONMAN Alaska on August 9th, 2022 UnCruise will be loading a small cruise line for a more intimate Ironman Post-Race VIP Adventure. This twelve night cruise will take you and your fellow competitors and friends on a tour of Alaska and Canada’s inside passages to Glacier Bay National Park, a UNESCO Heritage site.

This very hands-on adventure includes adventure activities in Tongass National Forest, Misty Fjords National Monument, native culture and Pacific Northwest history, whale watching, and local learning. Keep active with kayaking, paddle boarding, skiffing, and hiking in some of the most beautiful natural environments in the region. The onboard expedition team will offer regular presentations to keep you both entertained and learning about the area. All-inclusive means all the adventure gear, high-end meals, drinks, outings, education, truly everything is included.

5. A unique cruise for those who love cruises

Step onto Royal Caribbean’s Serenade of the Seas in Miami, Florida on December 10th, 2023. This will be your new home until September 10th, 2024, so pick a nice room. You and those you will get to know quite well are off on a journey that few have ever taken before. For the next 274 nights you will visit all 7 continents, 65 countries, and 11 of the world wonders. The Ultimate World Cruise is afoot.

This cruise will change your life. You will likely not walk off the ship in September the same person with the same views on the world as you were when you stepped on. Whether you are a cruise fanatic, a lover of travel, or someone who had always intended to see the world but just never got around to it, this is likely the cruise for you. There are four distinct phases of the journey, the Americas and Antarctica, Wonders of Asia, Middle East Treasures, and Capitals of Culture. Each can be booked separately, so some of your fellow cruisers will change every few months to keep things fresh. See the entire world from the window of your stateroom. What an adventure.
