What's New on Celebrity Reflection in 2027
Cindi Sanden
Celebrity Cruises is updating Celebrity Reflection, and the new version starts sailing in March 2027. Celebrity says the update adds 13 new spaces to the ship. I read through what is changing, and here is what I think matters if you are thinking about a Caribbean cruise next year.
Where it sails
Reflection sails the Caribbean all year from Fort Lauderdale. The shorter trips are three and four nights to Key West and the Bahamas. The longer ones are six and eight nights, with stops like Aruba, Curaçao, Bonaire, Turks & Caicos and Grand Cayman.
A three- or four-night sailing is a good way to try a cruise without using a whole week of vacation.
What is new on board
- The Celebrity Pool Club. Two bars, more seating, daybeds and more shade, plus two new places to eat right by the pool: Orange Peel Bar & Grille for smashburgers and frozen cocktails, and Tacos del Sol, a build-your-own taco stand.
- The Grand Plaza. A three-story space with a new Martini Bar under a giant chandelier, and live music from day into night.
- Boulevard Lounge. Dueling pianos, games, karaoke and live shows during the day.
- The Parlor. A sports and game lounge with board games, billiards, darts and big screens, and a menu that includes milkshakes.
- Sunset Park. The top deck becomes a park with lawn games, outdoor movies, live music and new private cabanas.
New places to eat
- Trattoria Rossa: Roman Italian food, with pasta made on board every day and some dishes prepared at your table.
- Fine Cut Steakhouse: dry-aged steaks and seafood.
- Bora: a Mediterranean-style rooftop spot, with brunch during the day and shared plates in the evening.
If you are staying in a suite in The Retreat, the Retreat Sundeck is getting an oversized hot tub and The Retreat Lounge is being redesigned.
Who this trip is for, and who it isn't for
It is a good fit for couples, friends and families who want a short, easy Caribbean trip with good food and plenty to do in the evening, and for first-time cruisers who want to try it over a long weekend.
If you want a small, quiet ship or a long trip somewhere far away, a short Caribbean sailing from Florida is probably not the one for you. I can help you find what is.
Before you book
The updated ship starts sailing in March 2027, so check your date. A cruise before then is on the ship as it is today. Prices and offers change often, so I check them the day we talk.
