The Scotsman Hotel
Your driver will meet you in the Arrivals Hall (he will have a sign with your name on it) and provide private chauffeur service to your chosen Edinburgh hotel.
A boutique 4 star hotel which is the former home to Scotland's national newspaper. When converting the newspaper printing house into a boutique hotel much care was taken to keep all original architectural features and layout intact. As a result, no two rooms are alike and each bedroom at The Scotsman Hotel is individually designed to offer a unique experience with every visit.
Edinburgh's Old Town is centred around one of the most famous streets in the world, the Royal Mile, of which Winston Churchill said 'there is history in every cobblestone'. The Old Town is home to three filming locations from Outlander: Bakehouse Close where Claire and Jamie are reunited after 20 years apart, Tweeddale Court which becomes the 18th century market where Claire meets Fergus again, and Signet Library whose interior doubles as the Governor's mansion in Jamaica.

Standing at the end of Edinburgh's Royal Mile against the spectacular backdrop of Arthur's Seat, the Palace of Holyroodhouse is the King's official residence in Scotland. Founded as an Augustinian Abbey in 1128, it's probably best known as the home of Mary, Queen of Scots, and the setting for much of the drama in her short and turbulent reign.
Arthur's Seat is the highest peak in Edinburgh and an iconic landmark, a dormant volcano standing at 251m above sea level. The hike will start from Palace of Holyrood and follow the Radical Road and footpath to St. Anthony's Chapel before heading up the well marked path to link with the paths coming from the east side of the hill.
The Signet Library, situated in the heart of Edinburgh's Old Town, was constructed in the early 17th century to house legal books of the Society of Writers to His Majesty's Signet. Today, the building serves mostly as a venue for events and special occasions, making it a perfect setting for afternoon tea.

Culloden House Hotel
Depart Edinburgh to Inverness by train with First Class tickets, followed by private transfer to Culloden House hotel. Enjoy an Inverness guided walking tour upon arrival.
Perched picturesquely above the river, Inverness Castle looms above the Gothic Town House in the High Street and dominates the horizon. The original castle formed the core of the ancient town, which has rapidly developed as a port trading with Europe in the 6th century.
Culloden House dates back to 1788 and sits on the original site of Culloden Castle which played host to Bonnie Prince Charlie at the Battle of Culloden. The interior design and decoration was commissioned from the famous Adam family of architects. The property is set in 40 acres of beautiful Scottish landscape.

Culloden House Hotel
Your full-day privately guided tour will include a visit to Culloden Battlefield, Clava Cairns, and a Whiskey distillery tour and tasting.
Culloden Moor was the setting for one of the most important and harrowing battles in British history - the Battle of Culloden which saw the defeat of Bonnie Prince Charlie and his Jacobite rebels by English troops loyal to George II. Today the battlefield is a memorial to the 1,500 dead, with flags marking burial sites as well as the various military positions.
The Clava Cairns are one of Scotland's most evocative prehistoric sites - the exceptional remains of an ancient cemetery, set on a terrace above the River Nairn. Estimated at around 4,000 years old, the Cairns were built to house the dead.
Following your distillery tour at Glenfiddich, you'll visit warehouse 8, home to Glenfiddich's unique Solera process. You'll discover what makes a 15 year old whisky such an exceptional dram, then enjoy tasting a number of cask-strength samples in the malt masters blending room.

Culloden House Hotel
Your full-day privately guided tour will include a visit to Castle Leod, Beauly Priory, and Urquhart Castle.
Castle Leod is surely one of the most beautiful, romantic and unspoilt castles in the Highlands. The castle has been lived in by the same family for well over 500 years and is the Seat of Clan Mackenzie. Castle Leod is widely considered to be the inspiration behind Castle Leoch, the seat and home of the laird of Clan Mackenzie, in the Outlander historical fiction series.
Beauly Priory is one of three priories founded in Scotland in about 1230 for monks of the Valliscaulian order. Beauly, meaning 'beautiful place', must have seemed to the monks a wonderful location in which to devote themselves to worship.
Discover more than 1,000 years of stirring history centred on the Great Glen at the magnificently situated Urquhart Castle, on the shore of Loch Ness. Once one of Scotland's largest castles, Urquhart saw great conflict during its 500 years as a medieval fortress.
Finish the day with Afternoon Tea at Culloden House Hotel - a wonderful place for afternoon tea in a truly historic setting.

Midhope Castle, a 16th-century tower house, is used as Lallybroch (also known as Broch Tuarach). We see this iconic location several times throughout the series.
Hopetoun House is a unique gem of Europe's architectural heritage and undoubtedly 'Scotland's Finest Stately Home'. You will also find Midhope Castle on the estate, known in the series as Lallybroch, the Fraser's family home.
The lovely town of Culross, in Fife is the location for Cranesmuir. Here we find Geillis Duncan's house and the historically picturesque town square where Geillis is sentenced to burn for being a witch.
Falkland, an idyllic small town in Fife, Scotland, was used to portray the city of Inverness in the TV series Outlander. This is a stunningly beautiful place and contains all the 'Inverness' locations we remember being used in episode 1.
